RINOX Pavers LLC breaks ground on manufacturing facility in Douglassville PA

On Monday, November 08, 2004, officials from Douglassville Township, RINOX, and
Rixon Pavers, LLC met at Douglassville’s new Trap Rock Business Center for a
groundbreaking ceremony to announce construction of a 35,000 square foot stateoftheart
manufacturing facility. Officials were on hand to kick off construction of what will be
the first manufacturing facility of its kind in the United States to produce RINOX’s
“tumbled” concrete pavers and retaining wall units. RINOX, a Canadianbased
company, presently operates two other manufacturing facilities of this kind in Canada.

This new Rinox Pavers, LLC manufacturing facility will be located off of Benjamin
Franklin Highway in Douglass Township, Berks County within the new Trap Rock
Business Center complex. This manufacturing facility plans to employ approximately 25
people, which they expect to draw from the local and/or regional area. This facility will
utilize raw materials from Reading Materials Inc.’s adjacent Douglassville Quarry to
produce the highest quality hardscaping products available in the industry. Facility site
work is to be completed by Reading Site Contractors. Building fabrication is to be
completed by Hollenbach Construction, Inc.
