Coming Soon: New Asphalt Plant At H&K’s Easton Quarry & Asphalt Facility

Skippack, PA – It’s almost here! With favorable weather, H&K Group, Inc.’s (H&K’s) Materials Division expects to open its newest and most innovative asphalt facility at Easton Quarry & Asphalt in late June 2022. This opening date coincides with prime asphalt paving season, and Easton Asphalt will soon be the Lehigh Valley Region’s go-to supplier for exceptional quality asphalt products.

This new asphalt plant at Easton Asphalt will replace an existing asphalt manufacturing system, which has faithfully served the region (with numerous efficiency and production updates) since 1984. Designed to better serve H&K’s expanding customer base, this brand-new Astec Industries, Inc. double drum, 400 ton-per-hour plant with three (3) 300-ton storage silos, on-site laboratory and fully redesigned onsite traffic/infrastructure flow pattern will produce exceptional asphalt with high efficiency and minimal onsite customer wait times. This new facility will operate on clean burning natural gas and propane and also has infrastructure in place for and additional three (3) silos if future demand dictates. H&K’s new Easton Asphalt facility is also enabled and approved for nighttime operations and will be capable of meeting off-peak and compressed paving schedules if required. Pennsylvania and New Jersey Department of Transportation (PennDOT and NJDOT) approvals are pending and customers are encouraged to contact their Salesperson for confirmation before placing an order.
