With an extensive mining history dating to the 1930’s, H&K Group, Inc.’s (H&K’s) Douglassville Quarry (formerly Pottstown Trap Rock - Douglassville Quarry) defines construction aggregate. Originally acquired by H&K in 1995, Douglassville Quarry continues to supply the southern Berks, Montgomery and Chester county, PA region with exceptional quality construction aggregate products and materials delivery.  Our Douglassville Quarry operation also features rail access for bulk material supply and/or delivery.

OUR AGGREGATE:

Douglassville Quarry’s underlying rock units, a crystalline intrusive igneous rock commonly referred to as Diabase, and an adjoining metamorphic gray/blue-gray argillite, both yield exceptionally durable construction aggregate. All materials produced at this operation are suitable for use in hot-mix asphalt, ready-mix concrete, drainage applications and general use. Our products also maintain a wide array of certifications by the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware Departments of Transportation (PennDOT, NJDOT and DelDOT) as well as the Maryland State Highway Administration (MDSHA).

HIGH PEFORMANCE COLD PATCH:

Douglassville Quarry is pleased to announce that we also carry QPR No. 754 and No. 756 Green Patch high performance cold patch products.

RAIL LOADOUT AND RAIL FRIEGHT:

Our Douglassville Quarry facility is also equipped with a railroad loadout system, rail yard and private rail line with connection to a main rail line just south of our facility.  This affords us the capability to transport bulk crushed stone to a wide variety of stone depots and locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region at a competitive price.
