Temporary Shoring Soil Nailed Retaining Wall Conventional Retaining Wall (small portion) 53 Soil Nails @ 16’ depth 1,175 S.F. of Rinox Trinity Soil Nailed R/W Engineer: Soil Reinforcement Design, Inc. The expansion of the Buchert Ridge Retirement Community proposed a new access road on the southern end of the property. Existing grades would require a retaining wall to be installed in order to achieve the proposed entrance elevation. A neighboring house in close proximity to the retaining wall made geogrid reinforcement impossible due to the tight excavations. Terra Structures and SRDI solved this problem by using grouted soil nails directly connected to Rinox’s Trinity retaining wall system. Once completed, the entrance was installed per plan and the neighboring house was unaffected by the expansion project.
